IXU
IXU
The service-friendly ion exchange units of the IXU series are used for the preparation of phosphate-ester-based (HFR-R) flame-resistant hydraulic and lubrication fluids. They effectively remove the acidic decomposition products arising from hydrolysis and/or oxidation of the fluid. The units are deployed with flow rates of up to approximately 9 l/minute in bypass flow at the hydraulic and lubrication oil tanks up to approximately 20,000 litres in size. Mobile or stationary IXUs are available.
HYDAC's own Ion eXchange Elements (IXE), filled with ion exchanger resins, are deployed in the IXU. The units of the IXU series are deployed in power plants, in the steel industry and for applications involving ester-based flame-resistant fluids. For the reduction of hydrolysis and the formation of acids in the fluid, we recommend continuous dewatering, e.g. by means of a FluidAqua Mobil – FAM.
- Prolonged oil change intervals
- Increase of the service lifetime of the operating fluid and components
- Greater machine availability
- Reduction of function problems, e.g. on servo valves
- Service-friendly units through element changes without tools and with a removable filter element with the cover "facing upward"
- Available as a complete unit for servicing and as a modular system for retrofitting existing bypass flow circuits or for OEM
OLS
OLS
The OffLine Separator OLS is a dewatering unit for hydraulic oils, diesel oils and lightweight transmission oil with densities less than 1000 kg/m3. The dewatering functions in accordance with the coalescing principle. The OLS is installed in the bypass flow, can however also be used as a transfer unit for diesel, optionally with prefilter. Application in marine and off-shore market for sensitive systems (e.g. steering gears, transmissions, deck machines), for diesel oil/fuel dewatering (for reduction of wear to injection nozzles and injection pumps for motors), to transfer lines (for the reduction of downtimes) and for turbine lubrication oil.
- Cost-effective dewatering
- Oil-protective dewatering through coalescing / gravitation principle
- Unlimited water separation, because no absorbent filter elements are used
- Stainless steel housing for the prevention of internal corrosion
- Simple connection as bypass flow unit possible
- Connection-ready unit including pump available
FAM ATEX
FAM ATEX
The dewatering units of the FluidAqua Mobil FAM ATEX series fulfil the requirements of the EU guideline 94/9/EC (ATEX = Atmosphères Explosibles - explosive atmosphere) for areas in which explosive gas atmospheres could arise (Zones 1 snd 2). The labelling of the explosion-protected FAMs in accordance with ATEX are, depending on the version
- II2G IIB T4. or
- II2G IIB + H2 (T4)
In addition to the protective electrical mechanisms, the mechanical components are also designed in accordance with the standard. Application in the chemical and petrochemical industry in which explosive gas atmospheres could arise and in all areas in which combustible substances such as gases or vapours occasionally arise.
- Greater safety during operation in explosive gas atmosphere
- One device with three functions:
- Dewatering
- Filtration
- Degassing
OLSW
OLSW
The OffLine Separator Water OLSW is used for separating free mineral oil from aqueous cleaning fluids in accordance with the coalescence principle. For this, the smallest oil droplets become embedded on the fibres of the OilRheo elements and run together to form larger oil droplets on the fibre nodes while rising upward on the outer side of the OilRheo elements. The separated oil is guided into an oil container from which the oil is then manually drained off. In order to ensure the optimum de-oiling performance of the OLSW, a prefilter is integrated for the separation of solid material contamination. The unit is conceived for installation in the bypass flow.
- Cost-effective de-oiling of aqueous media
- Protection of the OilRheo elements through prefiltration
- Prolongation of the service life of the aqueous cleaning fluids used
- Compliance with environmental protection and disposal regulations
TCU
TCU
The TransformerCare Unit TCU is a servicing and care unit for prolonging the useful life of oil-filled transformers and reactors. As the result of a continuous degassing, dewatering and filtration of the insulating oil, the oxygen content, the water content and the particulate contamination in the transformer are kept at a constantly low level, which increases the breakdown voltage of the insulating oil and thus achieving a prolongation of the service life of the insulation. The residual service life of a transformer can typically be increased 3-fold. The throughput is only approximately 15 m3/week, whereby harmful turbulence in the transformer is avoided. The use of the TCU continues throughout the life of the transformer, while it remains in operation and connected to the mains. The quantity of wrong gases removed with the TCU corresponds to the gas formation rate in the transformer, whereby an interpretation, e.g. in accordance with DIN EN 60599* also continues to be possible, analogous to the DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis). In addition, the moisture and the total gas content in the insulating oil can be monitored online and an early alarm can be triggered in the event of significant changes. * DIN EN 60599 - Electrical devices in operation which are impregnated with mineral oil - Guidelines for the interpretation of the analysis of dissolved and free gases.
- Retains the insulation property of the insulating oil
- Enhanced operational dependability
- Continued option of error gas analysis analogous to the DGA
- Prolongation of the remaining lifespan of the transmitter by slowing down the ageing of the cellulose
